Wappen Fürstenstein

Fürstenstein is about 25 km from Passau - towards Grafenau National Park Bay Forest.

His castle, which is picturesquely situated on the ridge, can be seen from afar and greets out into the Passau region.

It is a historical place with about 3,500 inhabitants and is considered a pearl in the Dreiburgenland. Old churches and many special features can be hiked here.

The Sculputenpark at the palace complex, weathered wool sacks on the Hohen Stein, the concentration camp memorial on the Danube-Ilzradweg near Nammering, a river pearl mussel farm and a treasure hunt with geocaching are waiting for you. Fürstenstein is also an area with a lot of granite mining.
