Neukirchen vorm Wald has almost 3,000 citizens and is about 20 km from Passau. The municipality offers excellent gastronomy and many traditional events. The baroque parish church of St. Martin, the main church of the Dreiburgenland, is an absolute must. A stately late-Gothic building that was converted to Baroque style in 1724 and 1758.

Another highlight is the Ilz Valley as a hiking region. Far away from the hustle and bustle, you will experience a wonderful hiking area with rolling hills in the wonderful Dreiburgenland.
